Miles Freeman is the Acting Assistant Regional Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Los Angeles office. Since joining the FTC in 2020, Miles has worked on several investigations concerning privacy issues including the FTC’s recent consent judgment against the developers of the popular video game Genshin Impact for their violations of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Miles also led the FTC’s investigation into the developers of the popular child and teen social media app, NGL, which also alleged violations of COPPA, along with other federal consumer protection laws. Prior to joining the FTC, Miles was an associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP where he litigated intellectual property disputes.
